If you need a hand or two to clean up, we got nothing planned for tomorrow except T-or-T in the evening. So if you let my ankle biters run around, me and Mrs would be happy to help!

You are too sweet. I don't have any damage except the pier. I'm hoping my insurance will help with that. They said 2 business days, so we'll see. Apparently my policy covers "other structures" and the pier fits that definition. I believe Gilligan is the one who needs help with debris on his property. Thank you so much for the offer!

Once it is repaired you and your family are welcome to come fishing. :buddies:

If you are serious, I just ran it past Mrs, and we will be happy to come by!
Should we bring tools, like crow bars/ chain saw, or you got those?
All I can offer is a strong back and a weak mind. That's what Mr. Jackson my 6th grade Social Studies teacher said about me. :yay:

Only the back is much older now...

Since it seems everyone else is bringing up years old slights, perhaps you should sue this Jackson guy.

Went to the Port yesterday to assess the situation. Was great to see gravel! There was lots of debris and items laying around that had floated and landed everywhere. Had about a foot of water get into my shed but no water breach into my RV! My Blue Boy tank had floated away but I found it on someone else's lot. Pontoon still on its trailer in the boatyard and didn't float down the river.
All in all I am VERY fortunate!

Two people at the Port mentioned that another event like this is expected again in the coming week. Has anybody heard anything like that?

Really appreciate the offers of help! Will circle back after we know when we're gonna tackle this mess.

Found a weird coinkydink....we had an extreme high tide event over this same weekend exactly one year ago.

Really good to hear.

We're supposed to get some rain later this week, and the flood warning is extended thru 10am and possibly later today, but hadn't heard anything for more flood watches beyond that.

Sounds like an election weekend conspiracy. :jameo:
