More on that Birth Certificate thing...

Burden of proof on all this is on you - you're the ones who want to blow smoke over Obama's birth it's on you.

After reading the dozens of pages in the dozens of threads, I've concluded that (a) Obama's birth certificate is real until PROVEN otherwise, (b) Obama was born in America UNTIL PROVEN otherwise and that (c) no matter what, you righties will believe the kooks over at WorldNetDaily over The State of Hawaii, the United States Government and other actual reliable sources and will continue to believe it's all a grand conspiracy and that everyone is in on it and everyone's liberal. :cds:

Are you old enough to remember the leftwing zealots screaming that that dumb chimp (that's be Bush) stole the election in 2000? They're still screaming about it. :whack:

Are you still screaming about it? :dork:

The only smoke I see blowing is the smoke of hypocrisy. But I'm glad that you took the time to read dozens of threads and dozens of posts about something you believe is false. :lmao:

What do I fail on? Do you dispute the fact that the Naturalization Act of 1790 has no legal effect on anyone born after 1795? If you had read my posts, you would know that I've said many times that a person can be a natural born citizen even if they were not born within the U.S.

All I said is that that particular act, which you cited and which I have cited many times before for other reasons, does not apply to Obama unless he was born between 1790 and 1795. That is indisputably correct. Want proof, here you go - from the Naturalization act of 1795:

By the way, I read the article you cited several weeks ago.

Andy's been gone a little while because he was kicked off the forums or something. He's a little behind the curve than the rest of us.

Have you also noticed the juvenile tone this thread is taking all of a sudden? We've been carrying on this conversation now for a couple of weeks now and here comes Andy and acts like he's an expert on the topic. All he's doing is messing it up with his obnoxious behavior.

NOT Politically Correct!!
Yeah right, Obama has his birth certificate sealed in a vault protected by the Governor of Hawaii and with all the lawsuits to see the real thing, he gives it to Factchecker.org!!!! :killingme

So why does the arm shadow conveniently fall over where we can see a raised seal???, The picture of the seal is not shown with the entire document to show it's part of Barak's BC??? Factchecker.org is not creditable!!!

How many believe that the Supreme Court will make Hawai bring the real certificate to Washington to be seen and documented.?

Would any of those who believe that like to buy a Bridge over the Patuxent that I have for sale??

I'm not the kook who's sitting here saying everything's a conspiracy and everyone's in on it.

Yes, I remember the 2000 election.

Is that what this is all about? You're all bitter because some kooks called your hero Bush a chimp and said he stole the election?

What was it about for you lefties with your 8 years of incessant Bush-bashing? Please explain why that was okay but to question ANYTHING about your Messiah isn’t? Yes, we are bitter; with good reason. Many GOPers feel like it’s their turn.

How does that medicine taste?

I'm sure there are plenty of things I will be criticizing Obama for over the next 4 years so don't worry about that. Obama's already pissed off the left by showing bipartisanship and stepping in to allow Lieberman to keep his post.

People have perfect reason to dislike Bush. Now, I seem to recall a few times where I've stepped up and defended Bush. I seem to recall a few times where I've defended Palin and other righties in office. In actuallity, I am probably one of the most down the middle people on this forum.

Y'all are just overly bitter because Obama won the election. VERY BITTER.

You think the last 8 years have been great and 4 years of Obama will end us? If you believe that, meet me in Upper Marlboro, I have a bridge to sell. :killingme

Well, it seems some of us are beating you to the jump. But the left, being at it is, isn’t interested in anything but their hardcore agenda. BO got elected on a platform of “bi-partisanship”. Funny how the celebration is quickly over.

There are plenty of REAL and valid reasons to not like Bush’s policies. But the frothing hatred that has come from the left is unprecedented. Conspiracies and baseless accusations of the man never gained traction, but that never the stopped the left from propagating their lies.

Y'all are just overly bitter because Obama won the election. VERY BITTER.

I’m not bitter about it at all. I’m actually happy about it on a few counts:

1. I'm elated that this country has finally broken that barrier. We should be proud of that.

1. The black community can no longer claim they are being kept down. We have a self-made black man, coming out of very meager upbringings, to win the most powerful office in the world. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson can claim victory and now shut their big traps.

2. The democrats have won control. Now it’s there turn to show the country what they can do. BO is their leader. I am anxious to see what this “change” is all about.

You think the last 8 years have been great and 4 years of Obama will end us? If you believe that, meet me in Upper Marlboro, I have a bridge to sell.

I don’t think the last 8 years have been great at all. They have been very difficult times for Americans. We were attacked on our mainland soil for the first time in our history, within the first few months of Bush's presidency. We’ve been fighting a ill-planned war since. It has taken its toll on Americans. The last two years (at which I would remind you the democrats have been in control) have been an economic disaster. Once again the left typically blames Bush for everything. It’s been hard for all of us. I don’t praise nor do I condemn Bush for all of this. He has done what he thought was best. It wasn’t good enough. Now BO and the dems have their chance.

I do think that if BO and the dems get their way with their socialist agenda this country will never be the same again. In case you didn’t know, we are not a socialist country. Our strength was built on capitalism. Spread the wealth, universal healthcare, billion-dollar bailouts, a Civilian National Security Force… all a recipe for standing up a socialist country.

But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… Americans are tired, angry and very impatient. BO better come through or he will be gone fast. He promised a lot; so he has a lot to answer for. He has already shown no sign of bi-partisanship with the picks he has made for his admin. It’s nothing more than Clinton part II. His speech the other day on the economy was nothing more than what we heard during the campaign; empty rhetoric. And this BC thing is just the tip of what’s to be expected in criticizing BO. The left jumped out of the gate from day 1 of Bush’s election with their “he stole the election” crap and never let up from there. This should really be nothing new for you lefties.

R.I.P. Bobo, We miss you!
you took it way out of context and overexaggarated it like you righties always :cds: to everything Obama says or does.

I'm a white person and I wasn't offended at all about his "typical white person" comment and knew exactly what he meant.

There was a time, and still is to an extent, where white people saw black people walking down the streets and felt scared. Schit, read the dozens of threads about Waldorf and you'd know what I mean. Plenty of people have racial biases that doesn't mean they're racists. For his grandmother, she saw the days of segregation and the transition afterwards was scary to her especially when she was born and raised into a different lifestyle.

For some people, change is scary (again, just read the forums).

The typical white person comment I personally do not find offensive but to act like it is perfectly safe for a white person to walk through some really bad areas is a racists thought!!, NOT. There are even blacks who would feel the same way about their safety...

I don't believe the Court will grant Berg's petition for a writ of cert, and I certainly don't believe they will grant Donofrio's application for stay. I base this not on an analysis of the merits myself, but partially on my interpretation of Berg's actions to mean that he doesn't believe they will grant his petition.

Obviously, I could be wrong and I actually hope to be wrong, because there are some very interesting constitutional questions that could arise as a result of a review on a writ of cert in this case. One in particular is of such a fundamental nature to the structure of the Constitution that it's been a long time since we heard a case with such a broad nature (though admittedly narrow import).

At the end of the day, I believe their decision to grant review or not will be based on their usual standards, and not on any desire to duck a controversial or potentially flammable issue. Their history doesn't necessarily support that notion.

It only takes four of them to grant review. The petition asks for review under Rule 10 and Rule 11. The Rule 10 argument is almost certain to fail; however the Rule 11 argument could conceivably have legs. It requires in order to grant review,

... a showing that the case is of such imperative public importance as to justify deviation from normal appellate practice and to require immediate determination in this Court.

I'm not really seeing much in the line of "imperative public importance"; mostly because the media refuses to give it any attention, so most of the public doesn't even know about it. This could be dropped and the public wouldn't really know it existed in the first place.

Snopes is run by Barbara and David Mikkelson, a California couple who met on the alt.folklore.urban newsgroup. The Mikkelsons also founded the San Fernando Valley Folklore Society.
If they are anything like most media outlets, they seem to be biased.

I'm very disappointed the the American press failed in their responsibility to investigate the people running for POTUS and the incredibly lopsided reporting of events.
Within 1 day, we knew more about some guy that asked a question then we do about the president elect. Illegaly accessing all his records was no problem at all.

Please don't tell me you're blaming the media. Larry will chime in soon to remind you it's all Bush's fault.

With all due respect to Larry (and he has good an valid points), when most people don't know who the Speaker of the House is (when asked about her by name), don't know who the President Pro-tempore of the Senate is (when asked about him by name), don't know the difference between the President of the Senate and the Pres Pro-tempore of the Senate (when told by a VP nominee), guess incorrectly on a 50/50 chance who is the majority party in the House and Senate..... - media soundbites have more to do with who got elected than any issue or any action of anyone else.

I hope you have a sale on that bridge because obviously you are a prime candidate to buy mine. Anyone who believes a man would hide a birth certificate and then hire three teams of lawyers to keep anyone from looking at it , when all he has to do is show it ,has something to hide.
