I believe Royal Farms is going there.
The building frame of a smaller building is up now, in the island surrounded by asphalt. Pretty sure they can't fit a Royal Farms in there, now.

LAST I saw - there were three outlets, middle one a Chipotle, the other two on either side unnamed, and an unammed "box store" between those three and the movie theater.

Until I see walls going up - like there finally is NOW - I never believe them.

So - the space across from ALDI - once rumored to be a Royal Farms - now will be three stores….

But the MAP says the middle building - the one nearing completion - will be a Chipotle’s. I don’t see how that happens. For one there’s an existing one just a couple miles down the road.

But for another - it appears to have a drive through. Something not conducive to a Chipotle’s which is like a Mexican “Subway”.

So what IS it?

To me it looks like a drive through Chipotle, but I'm not sure. Can't speak about the rest.

Wait until you find out there have been drive-through Subway Sandwich places for decades.....

A Royal Farms is going in somewhere in that area by ALDI. There's approvals for Lexington Park (gate 2), Charlotte Hall and California (by ADLI). Last week, they were at the county to get sign sizes modified.

I did not know that. How do tell the person at the window how you want your sandwich? Does everyone in line just — wait?
You don't tell the guy at the window, you order at the menu like a normal drive through. It's been a LONG time since I last did it, but it was pretty intuitive. Pick sandwich from block 1, pick toppings from block 2, pick sauces from block 3, choose chips/drink/cookie.

I only used it a few times and while slower than say McDonald's, it wasn't any slower than ordering the normal way.

I also used to phone my order in and then walk across the street to pick it up, this was when I was temporarily house-less (working in one place while I moved the family somewhere else as I looked for a new job). I lived in the crappiest little all-utilities included studio apartment, but I was a 5 minute walk from like 6 bars and a dozen decent places to eat, so it was pretty nice.
