New Businesses Coming to Southern Maryland

Are they only knocking down half of the office building facing 235 in Millison Plaza? It would be nice if there were formal plans somewhere to see what the finished plaza is going to look like.

If you search The BayNet, SMNewsNet, and The County Times all had articles. a while back, that showed renderings of what it will look like when finished.

That looks like it’s where Starbucks is going.

Saw yesterday that the new building in the old farmer’s market had “Chik-Fil-A” written on the wall.

I was just lamenting the lack of Mexican food within that particular 3 block radius. Now if only we could only get a 3rd Chinese restaurant in the leonardtown centre.

The site plan still shows the movie theater.
I think the proposed daycare center is very recent information. I'll see if I can find the link.
Edit: could not get link to work...here's the first paragraph:
AMC’s Lexington Park location on FDR Blvd near Nicolet Park will close and is planned to reopen as a daycare according to Atlantic Realty, the owners of Millison Plaza, now Pax River Village Center, which is under renovation. Conceptual documents shared during a joint meeting between the County Commissioners and the Commanding Officer of NAS PAX last week show the repurposed space. Nine classrooms could host a total of 154 children from infant to pre-k age. Other spaces include a kitchen and multi-purpose room. A 4,300 square foot church space is also shown, suggesting a potential sub-lease of this area in the building.

I don't know why, but that looks like it should have a drive through. Just yell at the menu who you are dropping off, then shove your kid through the window.
