New Businesses Coming to Southern Maryland

Never been. I have been to HT a handful of times. It's nice, but expensive.
It depends on what you buy and who has what on sale. I do my grocery shopping online and go pick it up. For a while, I had Giants web page up along side Harris Teeter's webpage. Most of the time I could get what I wanted cheaper at Harris Teeter. Same brand, same size, same everything. A number of times Giant had something on sale that was still cheaper at Harris Teeter.

There were about 30 or so national small grocers who spoke before the FTC last month about these stores. DG and others get sizes/weights of things that no other store can, which they are protesting. Aldi does this also but usually with off brand names, but DG gets special sizes from big brand names.

I said before it was a really smart move, putting these stores on the outskirts just before you get into a town or city, and people don't have to fight traffic, or can just go in for the basics when they need it. I rarely get big items there worth checking, but will check prices if I do. I just always make sure my discount came off.
Wal Mart does the same. So did Sears and K-Mart. Guarantee a purchase of XXX units and get a lower wholesale price. Dollar General has thousands of stores so there's a huge volume for a producer there.

Ill eat a sheetz sub before I eat Chik filet for the life of me I do not understand the love for that mess.
I don't get it either - the ONLY THING they make which I'm okay with is their spicy chicken sandwich, and I have never gone there by myself for it - or any other reason.

The kids have always loved the nuggets and fries and when they were little, they liked the playroom.

I will say one thing in their favor - their SERVICE is almost always, first rate. You will never see the like in any other fast food giant.
