Police Officers Acquitted

By the way, you should be saying magazine. Using the word "clip" highlights your lack of knowledge.

How many rounds do you think a magazine holds?

Why is a black cop shooting a black suspect a "race event?"

Why are you focusing on "race events" in New York, yet you blame every problem in Waldorf on black people living there?

:heh:

:roflmao:

You are effing hilarious.

Clip can be used, it is slang  Same as anything else with a nickname that is shorter, thus quicker to say, thus easier used in conversation.

I really hope you were joking about the race event thing, because if you're not, you really are slow. Lets go over this together...what does Andy report on mostly? :roflmao:

MM, you crack me up. :buddies:

:heh:
Oh, I should've been more clear. Race events, meaning AUTO RACES. There, that clear it up?

I couldn't give a rats azz what happens in NYC, unless it's catastrophic. I don't believe there was anything racial about this. I don't believe I ever said there was.

Where have I said every problem in Waldorf was the cause of black people. I said, just because event a and event b happens doesn't mean event a is the cause of event b. It could be coincidence, and I am not the center of knowledge of all things Waldorf. So, again, :biteme:

Clip is ignorant.

Andy mostly whines about traffic and crime in Waldorf, which he blames on blacks. He doesn't "report" on anything.

As far as I know, he reports on auto races, such as at MIR  Don't know, I don't know him.

Clip isn't ignorant. Belittling people for not calling it a magazine is an attempt at boosting one's self-worth for knowing the "technical" term for it. As long as we both understand what someone is talking about, who cares what it is called?

Traffic is bad because our roads cannot support our population. Again, I think I've said that before.

And, AGAIN, I've stated that just because there is a larger black population does not mean they have caused the larger crimes. DO YOU NEED ME TO SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU?

The one time I think I've clearly blamed black people was in the "hate crime" that CCSO originally blamed White people for. Turns out all but one of the perpetrators were black. And, I did mention that one of them was white.

:duh:

Andy, I would really like you to answer this question, so I'm going to ask respectfully and seriously. In what direction would you want those officers to have fired those warning shots?

I think...

...people would be shocked to learn just how little training many cops get with their weapons. As a result, officers tend to be horrible shots and, as this case illustrates, they aren't trained very well on how to control themselves or their weapons in tense situations. Departments are at fault here. This is ridiculous.

On the other hand, there was the guy, a cop killer I think, in the South who was finally cornered and shot like 150 some odd times and when the sheriff was asked why they shot him 150 times by a reporter he said "Because we ran out of bullets."

Yep. Most departments when confronted with budgetary constraints react by first cutting overtime, then cutting training. For the most part officers are lucky to get two visits a year. And during those visits, they throw 60 rounds downrange and only have to score 70% to "qualify".

And another problem is when the adrenaline starts flowing in these situations, the body reacts knowing it is in danger by increasing the blood flow to the vital internal organs. This results in the shutting down of smaller blood vessels which are located where? In the very hands you're trying to use to control a firearm. But the risk management folks figure the occasional lawsuit is outweighed by the amount of money saved by NOT training properly.

...the same; You gotta TRAIN to deal with that and that means realistic, live fire training. That means regular training. We got tons of military guys coming home who can tell departments exactly what you need to be doing to keep an edge without burning out.

That's the good news about wars; it infuses your population with men who know what it is to fight successfully. On the other hand, you also tend to end up with better criminals, too.

I agree 100%. But as a training instructor, I can tell you that the bean-counters won't allow it.

Yet another reason that I'm voting for you.

...one; Who do we ship off to the salt mines first, lawyers or bean counters? I'll let you decide. You will be Secretary of the Exterior; you work on who gets thrown OUT.

I've got the solution. We put them all into a giant room and whichever group comes out alive gets shipped out. That way we only have to make one trip.

...that's fantastic! Secretary of State for you! How about we keep the 'winners' to hold signs for live fire drills; some get a sign that says "Good Guy" some get a sign that says "Bad guy"...

:highfive:

Waste not want not.
