Simple stats mean nothing in and of themselves. Jason had a 'great' passing game yet we lost. Dallas' two running backs ran hard and well yet did not have 'good' games statistically. I think Romo made two bad passes all day. He also made several GREAT plays.

Gurode had 4 bad snaps, they blew coverages left and right (what was Roy Williams looking at on Cooley's TD?) and Ware was called for roughing the QB. I'd say that's a pretty poor game. Romo played well and the Redskins couldn't cover Owens.

...as well. I would take Whitten over Cool in a second. I would not take Shockey over Cooley. He drops too many balls.

The problem we have is at core; Cooley is a better runner and as good or better receiver than most other TE's with few exceptions. He is NOT a good blocker and yet we insist on offensive schemes that maximize the scheme without regard to the players strengths.

If we had TO or Randy Moss we would expect them block and then to run crosses and curls and then maybe take a shot or two down field.

We have/had a guy, Brandon Lloyd, who could have run fly's 10-15 a game and force the defense to put two people on him leaving 9 to stop 10 but, well, we don't do personalities. We do scheme.

Look at Romo; Parcells let him play last year and the guy is blossoming. Look at TO, Moss. You use what you got. We don't.

Even the die hard Cowboys fans I've talked to around here and heard on Sirius NFL have said the Roy Williams has poor cover skills. Much like the Skins dbs yesterday.

...and what happened on the bad snaps? 3 first downs. Yes, the snaps were bad, but the result of the play was not. Ware's call was a joke. I would have thrown something at the TV had it been called on us. He barely touched him and was tied up with Samuels. Bad, bad call.

And Williams saw Cooley taking a cross move and bump into the man who was there so Roy looked back to his deep responsibility which was to his right and Chris made a GREAT move back to the post, reversing direction right as he shook contact. Roy was one step late.

Past that Williams tackled one on one fabulously including a key take down of Cooley in the 4th quarter which made us punt.

I think you have an unrealistic sense of what 'good' is. They shut down a good running game, all day. They pressured the qb all day. They tackled very well.

...a cover guy. He is a bit slow and he is big. But he is a great tackler, big hitter and makes plays. I'd take him. He'd be used like a linebacker if he was a Patriot; stuff the run and take away screens, cover TE's off the line.

How appropriate, knocking locals and a large part of the country just to feel superior. I take it you don't like drag racing either. I support the military, but it's my-shi#-don't stink attitude like yours that makes us locals wish you would be shipped out. This is where the puss made his comment. I don't want to fight, but these Nascar nasty remarks need justification. I agree, screw O'malley,Busch,and Miller for making us one step closer to a socialist state. Damn I wish Booth was available for call.
