SMOW or Snow for 1/6?

I’ve got all my equipment ready - 2 pickups with salt spreaders and snow plows, 3 tractors with plows and a skid steer with a snow pusher, 6 drivers, 2 helpers, and 5 backup drivers - I think this will be a 24-30 hour event for us. The county is having us load with salt this evening at 11pm and start spreading. All snow plows are being called out at the same time.

My sisters ex husband is going to take care of me and my neighbors.

Tomorrow is my first day on the new job, too. Spoke with my program manager today. Indoc will be via Teams and telework the rest of the day. I have a lot of online training to get through.

family, friends, relatives, hardware store employees and the neighbors' dogs - whoever is dumb enough to volunteer!

I do have a core crew that has been helping out for 5-20 years. I've got a lot of people that say they will help me but I'm scared to put just anybody in my trucks and tractors in the worst of conditions. I've got a couple of new people on standby in case we need them, but will only use them in daylight hours.

I will try to post some "shorts" to my youtube channel over the next 24 hours while out in the storm. Here is one from yesterday explaining the lineup.

Quarter after 10. Still no flurries yet. Friend in southern WV was getting hammered with snow at 6pm.

Radar shows it's over us now, and has been for a bit. First of the flurries just started.

Bedtime. Hoping for a white tomorrow.
