Yep, it wasn't big at first, but it certainly had been reported - the media didn't care until they had the graphics. BTW where is the outcry that the media was given the classified report? Guess it's okay that the press exposes classified material when they want to bash the military and condemn all the troops as being villainous.

Also explain this to me, how does the humiliation of several detainees by some out of hand guards make credible the beheading of an American civilian that has nothing to do with our military or the detainees? It is people like you that have made these heinous acts credible in the terrorist’s eyes and thanks to you (and your buying into that crap) it will continue. Way to go.

it will continue as long as we give these people any reason to keep doing this stuff.

As to why they chose to off a civilian? Easy access maybe? To show us they don't distinguish between military and civilian? Maybe they don't have the means to drop huge bombs all over a country, so they do it one-by-one? Not like we haven't killed civilians in our bombings of iraq and afghanistan.

Your eyes have to be brown to be so full of sh!t. Al Qaeda will attack until they are all wiped from the face of the earth. They exist soley to destroy the USA and have vowed to do so. They do not need encouragement or a timely news event to do so, we have seen it before.

They chose to take the unarmed civilian because that is how cowards do things. They then tried to convince the world that they had an honorable reason for beheading him when in fact there is none.

Nope they might not be able to drop bombs but they sure know about car bombs, IEDs, homicide bombers, and using a plane as a several ton bomb. Guess they haven't killed civilians either, huh? And now your bretheren chose to capture an unarmed man, wrestle him down and saw off his head. Do me a favor and unwrap that towel from your head as it has strangled what little life fluid reaches the region used for reasoning in your demented brain.

The problem is, Ken, you will NEVER destroy al qaeda. It is more of an idea than a group. As long as people hate the US (will always happen) there will always be people killing us. Yes, I know we all get the warm fuzzy with dubya goes on the air and says we're making great progress in the war on terror and we are safer today than we were at 9/11.

But if you want to play this game, please tell me how undressing prisoners, and doing god knows what to them is in any way helping the war on terror... What? I can't hear you? Did you say it does nothing to help? I agree.

Where have you been? ST has been very clear in his desire to see Americans degraded and humiliated, not to mention killed. He thinks anyone who kills or tortures an American is justified and when the US fights back, we're a bunch of thugs and dirtbags.

He thinks Bush is Hitler and all soldiers are Nazis - he's said so on several occasions.

He thinks it's horrible to make Iraqi soldiers dress in women's panties, but it's A-OK to chop off the head of an American civilian.
