:offtopic: But Hezbollah had come out and condemned the beheading. They're all torked off because the beheading put a spotlight on the huge difference in tactics between us and them. We put men in women's panties, they chop off heads. It kind of puts it in a better perspective to the world, what we're dealing with.

See, I would have thought they would be cheering, "Yeah! Another American dead! 250 million more to go! Kill all Americans! Kill all Israelis! Kill! Kill! Kill! Arrrgh! (foaming at mouth)"

Well I guess if I was an apparent favorite like you I wouldn't worry about the rules either. Mojo was being told it was in violation and the rules don't show that. But reading over your many tantrums and it can be seen that you violate the rules all the time. Must be nice to have one's nose buried up the board owners backside. You can breath can't you?

Vulgar, sexually oriented and hateful, why are you still here or are you above the rules like others?

Can you please mind your own business for once? There was no violation of the rule. And we are just clarifying it and we don’t need your input.

You’re such a hypocrite. I have seen you violate a lot of rules on here and then you have the nerve to talk down to people that just want a clarification on the rule. So STFU already!

Man, that's depressing. It implies that we humans are all inherently evil and wicked, and that we have no capability for love or kindness for one another. If we think like that, what would be the point of civilization? If we can never be better than what we are, why not just set off all the nuclear bombs and let the cockroaches have a try at evolution?

Hiro and Naga seem to have recuperated just fine!

I say let's try it out in Iraq ... heck, it's been 50-some years, right? Make it an anniversary edition of sorts.

Oh they would be cheering if it didn't steal the thunder away from the "atrocities" :duh: we committed in that Iraqi prison. They were milking it for all it was worth, and their buddies went and showed the world, that what we did is nothing in comparison to the stuff the pull.

I don't think we're inherently evil and wicked. Moreso, we're like any other living breathing creature on this Earth. We've not evolved far enough to have lost our survival instinct and thank God for that. When it comes down to it, most of us would do just about anything to ensure the survival of our own. I think those who don't have the survival instinct have a genetic flaw.

I understand that. But surely the survival instinct doesn't require us to be deliberately mean to other people.

If they threaten the happy existence (present or future) of my family, you can be damned sure I'd deliberately kick the shiznit out of them if I can. :ohwell:

No, that is a learned behavior.

Unfortunately people are social/pack animals, and this sort of thing lead to rivalries and hatreds.

We inherently see things in an Us/Them mindset. It ranges from sibling rivalry, to gang wars right on up to concentration camps and genocide.

Nobody thinks they're the bad guy. Bush is honestly trying to make the world a better place by putting Hussein in a box, and putting a new power center in Iraq. And as much as it sickens me to say it, al-Qaeda honestly believe they're making the world a better place by killing Americans.

So, no people are not inherently bad.

People are inherently ignorant and aggressive.

And you can bet I would do the same for my family.

That's different from people being deliberately mean to others just for the hell of it, not because they feel like their survival is threatened.

I disagree. Learned behavior is resisting the urge to kill your fellow man. It's in our nature to eliminate threats to our survival. :bubble:

The question wasn't about eliminating threats. It was about being deliberately mean.

Self-defence is not meanness.

Being deliberately mean establishes dominance, you see it on a non-life threatening scale on the forums everyday. Establishing dominance right off the get go eliminates the weak right off the get go, then it gets down to who can be the meanest. Whoever is the meanest and can't be intimidated wins. It's the way of the world, always has been.

Maybe that's why all this sounds so strange to me. I've never had the Us/Them mindset. Because of my experience in school, it was more like Me/Everyone Else.
