Lunch at SALT. Short rib grilled sandwich with grilled onions, melted monterey jack cheese, and onion rings. The entire meal was delicious. The BF had their barbecue which was equally as good. Great place for lunch.

Porterhouse steak rare, baked potato with salt pepper and sour cream, salad with chipotle ranch dressing and a Black & Tan.

Ruby, got the bone with a good bit of meat along it. No sharp points, good and Solid, so it wouldn’t splinter.

I bought a chuck roast yesterday and cut it into chunks and threw it in my little crock pot with a chopped yellow onion, and spices when I got back from the store about noon. Last night about 5-ish, I stirred in about 2 tablespoons of beef "Better Thank Boullion" into it for some extra flavor.

This morning, it was all broken down and falling apart. Perfect for beef tacos tonight, which I had planned. Leftovers for Thing1 this week will also include beef nachos 1 or 2 nights.

Hubby put a pork tenderloin roast on the grill Sunday, had leftovers on Monday. Tuesday I shredded the remaining roast in the food processor, added some Sweet Baby Ray's for bbq sandwiches, homemade cole slaw and Nathans onion rings, repeated on Wednesday. Tonight...its just hamburger helper.

I went to dinner with a girlfriend and had the fried shrimp and fish platter - it was enormous so now I have enough for second dinner later on tonight.
I wish there was a place left around here that served a real seafood platter like they did 40 years ago.

Rockfish, Shrimp, Oysters, Clams, Scallops, Crabcake and Deviled Crab. :ohwell:
