My girls both called and they're doing the same. A tradition in my family.

Italian sausage with onions and peppers on a hoagie roll, and the best gourmet pasta salad I've ever had, at VFW Post 2632.

We were going to have grilled cheese and tomato soup, but that seemed blah, so instead I made grilled roast beef and swiss on kaiser rolls with mayo/horseradish sauce and tomato soup. It was pretty damn good!!

Pulled some leftover Jambalaya out of the freezer last night and put it in the fridge.

My stomach has finally betrayed me - I actually had to go to the doctor. So I'm all about rice pudding, kefir smoothies, and mashed potatoes until I get healed up.

I feel for you, had that bout with bleeding ulcers last year, which had me in the hospital for 10 days.

What's the stuff that's not chicken or rice?

Oohhhh, homemade applesauce. Had 3 apples I had to use up, peeled and cored, with a bit of water. Once they were softened, added some cinnamon and a pat of butter and mashed them a bit. Love it warm!

Mommy Dearest had cooked extra for me the evening before last, but I had to run out the door to my "other home". So, I had leftover stuffed pork chop and buttered carrots.

Surf & Turf. Snow crab clusters and the last of the 2021 vintage NY strip steaks.

Made boring old meat loaf on Wednesday with mac & cheese and peas. Had leftovers last night. Tonight, pulled pork bbq sandwiches with coleslaw and onion rings. I will also be indulging in a few glasses of chardonnay...its been that kind of week.

Anything I don't have to cook and I can have with a beer. That kind of week here, too! Although I do have some pulled pork bbq in the freezer...

The first press of the season is in November. I'll keep ya posted.

Working on the shipping details/costs now. Going to have 10 of the 17-liter (4.5 gallon) cans shipped as soon as they are ready. First press of the season...daughter was out at the olive farm last week checking things out and said the crop looks really good!.
