I know it's crass, and I'm not saying #### on the first date, but you wouldn't buy a car without taking it for a test drive, would ya? :shrug: Sexual compatibility (IMO) is important in a relationship. I'd really hate to find out that I "bought a lemon" after being legally and financially committed.
Not only should you take that car out for a test drive, but perhaps consider leasing it for a while to see if there are any kinks or loose screws in how it performs. It may not have quite as much horsepower as you'd like off the get go, but by tweaking it a bit over time, you might find out that it's fun to tinker with it and get to know your machine and see what it can do. It's long-term performance and reliability may surprise you over time.

...well be the second smartest woman on the forums and you sound like a great woman. It's good for you to recognize that sex is down the list of things that are important to you. You'll save yourself a lot of wasted time if you tell prospects up front that there will be no sex until the 60-90 day probationary period is over and I'm not trying to be funny either. Right off the bat you'll cull the herd down to guys who at least are mature enough to respect that.

Sex IS important to men. Are you saying it's not? Don't get mixed up in my choice of words. Piece of ass ... sex ... get laid ... point is (and you said it earlier when you responded to her "months" comment) the men I've talked to have "expectations" about it. Not that women don't ... but it's not as much a priority unless they're trying to bag them a sugar daddy. :shrug:

Yes sex is important but not all is lookin to get their stinger wet on the first date...
I myself have been on about a dozen dates in the past 4+ months and pretty much all of em were ready to put out on the first meeting.
I politely declined because to me when a woman gives it up from the git go then she just has no respect for herself.
HOWEVER...to have to chase after it for 3+ months....aint no way in he11. a guy would be tempted to just go out and get some thus perpetuating the whole player persona

But, like Larry said, if she was everything you wanted in a woman, you wouldn't think it was worth it to wait a few months for sex?
Because, honestly, that pretty much solidifies what many women think about men - that they don't love us because we're smart, or funny, or compassionate, or any of those things. They only want sex. Hence, why so many women think men are pigs and hate them.

It boils down to this: If you're constantly looking over your shoulder at what's in your past, you'll never see what lies ahead of you.
Don't hold the wrongs of one/some women or men against all others. Just because one is a whore or a cheater or an ass doesn't mean the rest are.
