So APS is the guy riding around town with the rabbit on the back of the bike... I see you all the time on 235.
Man Bill you guys are making me want a bike so bad now but I know I cannot afford one right now. Bikes are not cheap!
Please do not honk when you see me

Despite my theory that a positive speed diferential provides me an extra margin of safety in traffic, I got 44 mpg on my last tank. As the price of gas goes up, a bike becomes more afordable.

APS prefers a tap gently from the back to let him know you're there.
Depends on the bikes you are looking at and what you consider "not cheap".

Well for now im just looking for a 500-750 crotch rocket. Ive ridden dirt bikes (250) and some other sport bikes before and I dont think id have any problems on something <750cc.
Its just that people want an arm leg and spleen for them even used. SCREW buying brand new!
I'm in my "traffic zone" while riding in traffic, constantly scanning ahead, to the sides and in the mirrors. My life depends on my ability to "see" my surroundings.Whys that?

Thats the thing, what one person considers cheap, another person considers ridiculously overpriced. 5-6K might seem cheap to some, but to others, thats a good chunk of change.
Completely different animals
A 600cc sport bike has more HP, higher top speed and more acceleration than a 2000cc cruiser
