Just as with cars I just dont care for BMW. Its honestly to refined for me. Especially for a first bike...

They make a good selection of first bikes in the 650 range.. with the same engineering and safety features as their top of the line bikes. IF you can afford one of the 650s probably a top choice for a first bike.

I wouldn't have thought of them for a first bike (mine was a Honda Silver Wing), just as I wouldn't have thought of a Corvette or a Mercedes as a first car, but it was ALWAYS the bike I wanted. Now that I'm on my second, I can say I'm not disappointed, and they were both well worth the wait.

Great guy, wonder to do business with. Not that the bike needed any consideration, being an 09 with only 700 miles on it, its flawless.

Heres a better pic, as she awaited inspection

I've had one of these and highly recommend them :yay: the older models that had the rounded fuel tanks you can find for much cheaper. i think they look better than the new body styles anyways

its got plenty of power to get you in trouble too if youre not careful, that said it can be very docile with good low end torque so you dont have to wind the piss out of it like an inline 4 600cc bike.

Yeah, the SRT isnt rated, they never are, except the Jeep, I think since that rating process would require testing that would jack the price up, and every penny counts when your trying to beat the 60-70K car crowd with only a 40K car.

The 5.7 is rated for I think 3500 and 300 tongue. Since the 6.1 has as good or better equipment than the 5.7, I use 3,000 and 300 as my limit, but dont expect I'll ever do more than the 1600 + trailer, which puts me in the 2,000 and 200 range. I know Dale Seeley and others who have run the SRT-4 in the One Lap have towed trailers with no issue.

Back on topic, got my tags for the Wee today!!!!!!! (The V stroms come in tow displacements, the 1000 and the 650, also known as the Vee (1000), and the Wee (650).

BTW, in addition to the Strom forum, there are quite a few Strom owners on the advrider forums. :yay:

First ride, what a treat!!!!!!!! High up, great view, everything works. Love the press to cancel turn signals. V twin power is so much different than the inline power plants Ive had before.
