It was hanging out on my front porch one night but I haven't seen it since.

The moth came back tonight and I went to try to get better pictures of it but the batteries in my camera were dead. Batteries are recharging now.

GRIEF!!!!---I get so pissed when that happens...I keep an extra set charged but thats if my son doesnt get hold of them and use them in a Wii remote!!

I hadn't recharged them since I got the camera so it was my fault entirely. The batteries are now recharged and the moth is nowhere to be seen.

Great pics! I've seen quite a few around my house but never seem to have the camera ready. I'd love to get some shots then frame them to put up in my one bathroom that has a frog and dragonfly theme.

Luckily the flash didn't make her jump.. With my old 35mm Nikon I could have done this from a few feet away, but the digital doesn't let you use MACRO and zoom in, I had to be within inches to get these pictures.

Whoooo nelly!!!....that's a black widow...correct?! Nice shot---I'd be a little concerned about getting too close--she'd probably run like you said(at least I would hope so anyway!)
