I don't sit in steaming hot weather in sewage tained water with no food and water waiting for the gubmint fairy to show up with a boxed lunch and a bottle of aqua fina. I would have been gone long before this BUT if for some reason I was not, I certainly would ask for help BUT in the meantime I would do my damnest to take Boy and get the hell out of there.

I totally agree with you 110%! However, when was it ok to believe what the media reports to you one moment and then totally disregard it the next? You are basing your assumption of ALL the people down there on just a few interviews of what THEY want YOU to see. When it comes to some other subject matter that strikes a nerve it's so easy to disregard the few interviews they offer as media biased crap.

I am too but you cannot simply give up on them! For if your ancestors gave up then you might just be as stupid as they are now. People are stupid in a variety of subjects, sometimes all 'round. Perhaps you missed my first sentence which was the simple word 'agreed'. Agreeing to your idea that those people in particular should be under the waters at this moment. I think you would be in a much different mind frame if you were up atop one of these roof top's with boy. Again if you were in the city I do not doubt you would leave immediately, I feel no sorrow for those mofo's. I do feel for those trapped and the reported hundreds or maybe thousands of bodies that lie still.

I would no doubt be proactive in my rescue and not sit up there and dehydrate to the point of insanity. If that meant I would have to tread water weaving between turds I would opt for that before I died huddled in an attic.
