We got pheasant rarely, but it was the best. Most of the meat we got was deer, antelope, rabbit (by the washtub full) and trout.
Some of you may have to google "washtub" to get the proportions. :lmao:

Personally, hacksaw or not, I would've had to alert the sheriff's dept, drop the nieces off, then return to make a confrontation.
For what, what was he doing that was illegal?? Oh and confront someone that you know is armed??

Or do you assume, that he being a hunter, he is probably a law abiding citizen and wouldn't think of turning his rifle on an unsuspecting victim?

How'd that work out?
:lmao: They were my wading boots anyway so I just got enough crap out to slip my feet into (with waders) and wore them into the stream. They actually slipped on easier.

Being muzzle loader season he would have already shot his one shot and not have reloaded since he got the deer.

It's possible we jumped on you little quick, but it really sounded like you were gonna be one of the nutty, panicky PETA types that show up on this board from time to time. And if you knew why he was sawing off antlers, why did you state that he was after a trophy, and then ask what rattling is?
No I thought I knew why the head was off of the one.....but I now know if it has been hit it is highly unlikely someone else came along and wanted the head as a trophy. I do not know why I thought that? I just did. I really did not know what rattling was either. My neighbor rides around with antlers attached to the front of his 4 wheeler so thats another good use for them I guess??? I dunno...one thing for sure is I am now a little more at ease and kind of tickled at all the posts which made me kind of release some of my emotions that may have come across a little to dramatic :drama: It was just gross to see is all.

I actually like my answer.. hunter, law abiding.. etc..
Yanno the type of people that should be allowed to be in possession of a firearm.

Of course the antlers do make very good hat and coat racks among other things. You still would not cut the whole head off though for antlers, too messy. You'd just do the top of the skull.

And where's that post from last year, where someone was #####in about a deer getting dressed in the front yard, and was going to check the HOA rules to see if there was anything he could do about it?

Well, Bob, for creating a public disturbance by hacksawing a friggin deer head in front of an industrial building on 235... My first impression via the post - on page 1 of this thread, as it was to be taken the way it was written...

And, for generally pissing me off with the thought of being disgusting on our local highway where not everyone feels that it is okay to be exposed to this.

No one said anything about a rifle. If so, then more reason, wouldn't you say, to deem it appropriate to alert the local boys that someone with a rifle is hacking up a deer head with a saw on the side of 235 by Exploration Dr. - AND - he has a rifle? :jameo:

Don't laugh, my dog came home once dragging half a doe.

:lmao: How can we not laugh??? Actually, I remember once when I was little my father had gotten a deer and it was in our back yard. My mother heard a ruckus and found there was a pack of dogs trying to tear it up. She ended up beating them away with a broom!! :lmao:
