Actually, nothing made me go. I was too scared to go and kept procrastinating. But I went to the doctor for a follow up for pneumonia and my general practitioner saw the mole. He sent me immediately to Bethesda for my first surgery. Knowing what I do now, about how quickly melanoma spreads...
Definitely! If nothing else, you will have the peace of mind of knowing someone has checked, ya know? I'd thought about getting my skin checked about a year before they found the cancer. If I'd done it, it may have saved me 12 surgeries and a year of treatments.
:yeahthat:
Except, I was diagnosed at age 25 with Stage 3B Melanoma. I had one bad burn from the sun and used tanning beds for a few years. Definitely NOT worth it.
When we drove by a little bit ago, all Northbound was closed. 1 vehicle was on it's side and another sitting backwards. There were paramedics standing there with a bed ready. Definitely didn't look pretty and they are all in my prayers tonight.
My 2yo daughter loves this potty too. First we had the pink potty that closes to use as a stool, and she couldn't stand it. We bought the froggy potty and she was trained within a week and still uses is from time to time (7 months after training).
Everyone was able to be relocated within the same housing area. They spent today trying to salvage what they could, cleaning, and getting things moved.
MIL and FIL don't so much as acknowledge our kids either; actually I still haven't figured out why they visit. MIL sits and reads the whole time she is here, FIL sleeps the whole time. The only thing they actually do is offer to take us out to eat.... the offer usually is made while I'm making...
We had a very similar experience. My son was not learning anything in one of the "better" St. Mary's County schools. When I took my concerns to the teacher and eventually the principal, they couldn't figure out why I was upset since he had straight A's. In third grade, they were "training"...
Interferon sucks! Luckily, I was a candidate for some good clinical trials and have been No Evidence of Disease for 2 years and 3 days!
OP- I use Jergen's Natural Glow for a fake tan it goes on well and hard to mess up.
Tanning certainly sucks. I have 15 scars, the longest 12 inches across my back from having stage 3b Melanoma removed. But of course I never thought it would happen to me, just like no one looking for a tanning bed thinks it'll happen to them.
Husband made it from VX 23 to Carpenter Park (by gate 2) in our sub compact without any issues. He did see several cars in ditches though. Be careful if you have to go out.
