Can't really blame Trump. The Reps had how many years to come up with a plan to counter Obamacare and they didn't do jack. That's the primary reason I left the Rep party.

I can blame Trump for consistently making it seem like he'd be able to do all the things he said he would. Some of us knew he was full of crap, but the people who voted for him repeatedly pointed out all his promises as justification for voting for him. That and "he's not Hillary".

You're right though. The party has failed at pretty much everything they've tried to do the last decade or so.

Most of us knew he was full of crap. It's a shame the right didn't question Trump's promises with the same zeal as Obama's.

It's all part of the Great Rationalization. The people that voted for Trump are so vested in rationalizing their vote that they will tell themselves anything to convince themselves that they made the right choice in the primary (remember that's where this garbage started). So you have morons like Ivy League Lite claiming they are "happy with what he has accomplished". The interesting thing would be to ask ILL what Trump has accomplished that has been so successful and helped the average American family.

It's also part of the Great Revision. Since the majority of Trump supporters are old their memories are failing...they can't remember that every Republican in Congress also promised to Repeal and Replace. In order to justify the utter failure Trump has been, one must blame it on Congress. In order to put the blame on Congress, one must forget that the R's in Congress promised for 10 years to Repeal and Replace. How many times did the House vote to Repeal and Replace during Obama's Admin? 60+?

The worst part is, like you said, on most things Trump never even tried. He's made no attempt to reform our immigration system. He's made no effort at all to upgrade our infrastructure. He's made no attempt to produce a health care alternative. Where he has attempted to do anything, he's made a mess: North Korea, Iran, trade with--well--anybody.

The only thing that he actually got done was a tax cut that mainly benefited himself and his uber rich friends...and even then no one knew what Trump actually wanted or if he would even sign the bill once it passed.
